Herringbone Names Dan Hinckley Head of AI to Accelerate AI Across Its Platform

Herringbone, a digital marketing platform backed by Trinity Hunt Partners, committed to unifying best-in-class local digital marketing agencies, service providers, and tech-enabled solutions, today announced the appointment of Dan Hinckley as Head of AI. Hinckley will lead Herringbone’s AI strategy across the platform, developing the technology and capabilities that help its clients grow faster in an AI-driven market.

The appointment comes amid rapid growth for Herringbone, which surpassed $100 million in annual revenue within its first 18 months, and now serves more than 3,600 customers.

Hinckley joins Herringbone from Go Fish Digital, an AI-powered marketing agency he co-founded in 2005 and led as Chief Product & AI Officer. He brings nearly two decades of experience in SEO, technical web development, and AI product leadership, including building Barracuda, Go Fish Digital’s proprietary AI marketing platform. He has delivered work for brands such as GEICO, Airbnb, Marriott, and The New York Times. brightonSEO named him one of the 100 most influential SEOs in the United States.

“As a founder, I’ve spent my career building products for clients, most recently with a focus on using AI to help them achieve unparalleled results,” said Hinckley. “At Herringbone, I’ll be bringing that same experience and perspective to build a platform that will lead the industry in its use of AI.”

Hinckley’s arrival extends a strategy central to Herringbone’s platform since its founding: building AI, data, and engineering infrastructure across the platform, offering each acquired company access to industry-leading tools and capabilities specifically designed to drive better outcomes for clients.

“We think about AI in two ways: protecting what already works for our clients today, and shaping where the industry goes next,” said Raj Ramanan, CEO of Herringbone. “Dan is exactly the kind of builder we look for at Herringbone: someone who has grown and led his own AI-powered agency, delivered real results for clients, and brings real credibility as both an operator and a voice that will help shape how the industry thinks about, and uses, AI.”
