Income Research + Management (“Income Research” or “IR+M”) today announced that Erinn King, CFA, will be promoted to President, effective June 30, 2026, marking an important milestone in the firm’s succession plan.
“At IR+M, we are deeply committed to thoughtful succession planning and the development of our next generation of leaders,” said Bill O’Malley, CFA, CEO. “Erinn believes in our firm vision, investment philosophy, and in our people. She is passionate about bonds, and equally passionate that every client experience with IR+M is exceptional. I am extremely excited to work more closely with Erinn, and confident that she will continue to advance our values and exceed the responsibilities of this role.”
Erinn joined IR+M in 2023 and has served as Chief Strategy Officer and Co-Head of the Client Team, where she has played a central role in shaping the firm’s strategic direction and strengthening its client engagement efforts. As President, she will build upon these responsibilities, partnering closely with Bill to gain broader exposure to all functions of the firm and initially focusing on client service, human capital, legal, enterprise risk, compliance, and finance. Additionally, Erinn will serve as the Vice Chair of the Management Committee and engage with the firm’s Board of Directors on longer-term strategy. Erinn will continue to report to Bill.
Scott Weinberg, Head of Client Strategy, will join Meghan Driscoll, CFO, as Co‑Heads of the Client Team and report to Erinn.
“IR+M’s culture is predicated on a deep commitment to our clients, teamwork, and accountability,” said Erinn. “I am honored to serve as President, and thrilled to partner even more with Bill, our leadership team, and our Board as we strengthen our client partnerships, invest in our people, and shape our firm’s future.”
Erinn has over 23 years of fixed income experience, having spent her entire finance career in the sector. She earned an MBA in Finance at Boston University Questrom School of Business and a BFA and MFA in Dance from the University of Oklahoma. She serves on the boards of the New England Foundation for the Arts and the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestras, the investment committee for Camp Harbor View, and is a Freeman of the City of London/Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Insurers. Erinn previously served as Chair of the CFA Society Boston board.
Jack Sommers, CFA, Executive Chair of IR+M, echoed, “Erinn is a rare leader whose breadth of knowledge across the fixed income business is matched by her judgment, energy, and commitment to excellence. She has an intimate understanding of our firm and leads with conviction and clarity. With the support of our experienced leadership team, and together with Bill, the Board, and me, I am confident that Erinn will play a pivotal role in shaping IR+M’s next chapter and driving the firm forward with purpose and discipline.”
