ST. PETERSBURG, FL, UNITED STATES, August 14, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Foxxr Digital Marketing has published The 2026 Home Service AI Visibility Report: Who AI Recommends, a study measuring how consistently Google’s AI Overview recommends home service contractors across their full local service area. The report is free to read at https://foxxr.com/2026-home-service-ai-visibility-report/.

The headline finding is that 86% of tracked businesses appeared in a Google AI Overview for their core service. Only 74% held enough coverage across their local grid to represent actual commercial presence. Seven businesses, 14% of the sample, did not appear once for any homeowner asking about their primary service from anywhere in their service area.

The report tracks 50 businesses across 12 states and 15 trades using Local Falcon’s geospatial grid tracking system and a new metric called Share of AI Voice, which measures AI Overview presence from 0 to 100 across a business’s full service area. The pattern across high and low scorers points to four factors the report examines in detail: Google Business Profile completeness, service page specificity, entity consistency across indexed sources, and third-party validation beyond directory listings.

One zero-score business in the study had 181 Google reviews and a 4.8-star rating. The report explains why that happened.

“AI search was changing fast, and we ran this study to get ahead of it,” said Brian Childers, Founder of Foxxr Digital Marketing. “The result that surprised us most was a business with 181 reviews and a 4.8-star rating scoring zero on AI visibility.”

The report also addresses whether AI will replace local search and what contractors should do about it. High-scoring businesses are named. Zero-scoring businesses are anonymized. The full report, including methodology and limitations, is available now at foxxr.com.

Trade press, chambers of commerce, and industry organizations are welcome to cite findings and charts with attribution and a link to the report.
