PRO-SET Formulated Resin Systems Announces Leadership Expansion to Accelerate Global Growth Strategy

PRO-SET Formulated Resin Systems (PFRS) today announced a series of strategic leadership appointments that position the company for its next phase of growth as a scaled, global platform in specialty coatings, adhesives, sealants, and composite resins.

The announcements include the permanent appointment of Pete Hughes as President of PRO-SET Formulated Resin Systems; the promotion of Tom LaBelle to Vice President of Formulated Composite Systems, where he will lead Gougeon Brothers Inc. and the Americas composite resins Strategic Business Unit; the appointment of Randy Brady as Vice President, Formulated Coating Systems and Business Director, leading the specialty coatings business unit established following the company’s acquisition of UNICHEM; and the appointment of Ryan Senciboy as Chief Financial Officer.

Leadership to Drive a Scaled, Global Platform

Together, these appointments reflect PFRS’s commitment to building a high-performing leadership team across its growing portfolio of brands, including WEST SYSTEM®, PRO-SET® Epoxy, Entropy Resins®, WRA, and UNICHEM.

As President, Hughes leads the platform’s strategy, operations, and M&A execution across the portfolio, with full P&L responsibility. He is accountable for driving growth, scaling operations, and leading the organization through its next phase of expansion. Since stepping in as interim President, he has guided the organization through a critical transition period while establishing the operational and strategic foundation required for expansion.

Hughes brings an execution-focused leadership style shaped by his experience as a graduate of the United States Naval Academy, where he earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, and as a former U.S. Marine Corps Officer. He also holds an MBA from Georgetown University and has held leadership roles in strategy and operations at Bain & Company and DaVita. Most recently, he served within Iron Path Capital’s Full Immersion Operations team, working directly with portfolio companies to drive value creation.

Hughes’ track record in scaling businesses, aligning operations, and executing growth strategies positions him to lead PFRS through its next phase of platform development.

“Pete has led this business with clarity and conviction since day one,” said Ted Clark, Executive Chairman of PRO-SET Formulated Resin Systems. “His ability to assess complex businesses quickly, build the right teams, and execute against a clear value creation thesis is exactly what this platform requires as we continue to grow. We are fortunate to have him leading the organization.”

“I am honored to take on this role permanently and proud of the strong foundation this team has built,” said Pete Hughes. “We have an exceptional group of people, differentiated technologies, and a clear path forward. I’m excited to continue building a high-performing organization that delivers for our customers and partners around the world.”

Strengthening Core Business Leadership

Supporting this next phase, LaBelle assumes full business leadership of PFRS’s composite resins Strategic Business Unit in the Americas. In his expanded role, he will lead commercial strategy while driving operational performance, resource alignment, and growth execution.

LaBelle brings deep industry experience across composites, transportation, and advanced materials markets, with prior leadership roles at Sika, Henkel, and LORD Corporation. His background spans technical sales, product development, and business development, making him well-positioned to scale PFRS’s composites business.

“Tom has been a driving force in our commercial momentum at Gougeon Brothers,” said Pete Hughes. “This promotion reflects both his results and our confidence in his ability to lead the full business. Giving Tom clear business ownership strengthens our decision-making agility and deepens accountability, both of which are essential as we scale.”

Expanding Specialty Coatings Capabilities

Further strengthening the leadership team, Brady joins PRO-SET Formulated Resin Systems to lead the specialty coatings business unit following the recent acquisition of Universal Chemical & Coatings (UNICHEM). PFRS’s expansion into specialty coatings earlier this year represents a deliberate strategic adjacency, extending PFRS’s capabilities into complementary applications and positioning the platform to serve a broader set of high-performance end markets.

Brady brings decades of experience across product development, sales, and general management within the specialty coatings sector, including leadership roles at DuPont, PPG, Sherwin-Williams, and Deft. He will oversee the integration and expansion of PFRS’s coatings portfolio, with responsibility for driving innovation, market expansion, and commercial growth.

His appointment reinforces PFRS’s strategic priority to expand into high-performance coatings and laminating adhesives, enhancing the platform’s ability to serve customers requiring advanced material solutions.

“We are confident that Randy is the right leader to build this coatings business,” said Pete Hughes. “His technical credibility in specialty coatings is matched by his commercial instincts and general management experience. He brings the industry depth to accelerate UNICHEM’s growth and position PFRS as a serious player in high-performance industrial and aerospace coatings.”

Strengthening Financial Leadership

Completing the leadership team, Senciboy joins PRO-SET Formulated Resin Systems as Chief Financial Officer. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and accomplished finance leader, he brings extensive experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate accounting, financial reporting, mergers and acquisitions, and global business transformations.

Senciboy began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where he developed a strong foundation in public accounting. He subsequently held progressive finance leadership roles at Greif Inc., a $6 billion industrial manufacturing company, where he led key transformation initiatives and supported complex strategic transactions. He later served at Clearwater Paper Corporation, where he strengthened financial processes and corporate accounting operations. Most recently, he served as Vice President, Treasurer and Head of FP&A at US Strategic Metals, where he supported the company’s capital formation, built financial processes, and led a variety of key corporate initiatives.

“Ryan has the financial leadership this platform requires. His experience navigating complex transactions and building finance functions inside growing industrial businesses makes him the right person to support our M&A strategy and scale the financial infrastructure of PFRS,” said Hughes.

Positioned for Accelerated Growth

These leadership moves come as PRO-SET Formulated Resin Systems continues to integrate recent acquisitions, including Gougeon Brothers, Wessex Resins and Adhesives, and UNICHEM, while pursuing additional organic and inorganic growth opportunities.

The company’s strategy focuses on delivering solutions that enable customers to fabricate, bond, seal, coat, and repair increasingly complex composite and hybrid structures—applications driven by demand for lighter, stronger, and more durable materials.

“This is a transformative moment for PRO-SET Formulated Resin Systems,” Hughes added. “With the right leadership team in place, we are positioned to scale efficiently, expand our capabilities, and deliver greater value to our customers and partners globally.”
